LED License Plate Lights
Most license plate lights use a T10 (W5W) wedge bulb. Pick a Canbus, non-polar type so the car does not report an error and the bulb works either way round.
The license plate light is a small replacement that owners notice because the plate must stay lit. Most of these bulbs are the common T10 size, so one SKU serves many cars.

Which bulb fits
Check the current bulb: T10 / W5W is the common size. See the T10 page for the full size table.
Canbus, error-free
The Canbus type is non-polar. A Canbus bulb helps avoid a lamp-failure warning.
How to install
Fitting an LED bulb follows the same steps as changing a halogen bulb, with one extra job: finding a place for the driver or heat sink.
Switch the lights off and let the lamp cool.
Open the lamp cover and remove the old bulb.
Check there is room behind the lamp for the heat sink and driver.
Fit the LED bulb and plug in the connector.
Fix the driver in a safe spot, close the cover, and check the beam on a wall.
Rules, sealing and documents
Waterproofing
Headlights and fog lights live in rain, spray and dust, so sealing matters. Sealing is checked in production with a waterproof test. The IP rating of each model is on its data sheet, available on request. The 3-inch demon eye models are rated IP68.

Is it road-legal?
Buyers often ask whether LED bulbs are allowed on the road. The honest answer is that it depends on where you are. It depends on the country and on the lamp it goes into. Different markets use different rules, such as DOT in the United States and ECE in Europe. Check the rule for your market before you order. Selected models hold an E-mark approval (ECE R10, electromagnetic compatibility). See the certifications page for what each document covers.

Why resellers buy small bulbs from TUHO

One supplier for the whole lighting range
Headlight bulbs, projector lenses, fog lights, signal and reverse bulbs, interior lights and demon eyes all come from the same factory and ship together from Dongguan. Fewer suppliers means fewer purchase orders and fewer things to chase.
You deal with the factory
We make the product in Dongguan, in a 5,000 sqm automated plant with a capacity of more than 5 million units a year. Questions about specifications, changes or timing go to the people who build the product, so you get a direct answer, not a relay.
Packed to sell
Neutral color boxes are standard, and custom boxes, labels and barcodes can be added to match your shelf or your marketplace listing. Carton sizes and weights are fixed in the catalog, so shipping is easy to plan.
